XP Reviews: Dishonered

Dishonored, unfortunately, isn't as good as everyone was hoping. It’s still a decent, interesting title, but a sub-par storyline, pretty repetitive mission structure and a few other niggles stop Dishonored from ever really soaring.

good game, too short=bargain bin

aquamala4217d ago

it's longer than most games, and has tons of replay value. just what games are you comparing it to? Skyrim?

Bimkoblerutso4217d ago

Yeah, 12 hours is actually a respectable length for a campaign. Plus there's so many reasons to play through it multiple times it's not even funny.

Dovahkiin4217d ago

Took me 15 hours, pretty average length really. It left me wanting more, but it was not too short.

Yeah, I felt the same way. How can a game like Dishonored have such a great intro and prologue, and then resort to a frikkin collage for the ending?

So many games do this to us these days. The ending is EASILY one of the most important parts of a successful narrative.

Cmon.....I know its a petty bitch, but at least spell the game's title properly.

It felt kinda cheap to me… both in terms as a tactic, and game design

Abnor_Mal447d ago (Edited 447d ago )

There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.

Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.

The sequel changed some of the mechanics from the first game but it was still a very polished and enjoyable experience. You should definitely give it a shot sometime. The game's currently on sale on Steam

Okay thanks for the heads up, will look out for it being on sale one day.

I really did like the first and played it back to back as soon as I finished the first play through.
