Dishonored Kinda Disappoints

well no cause I've watched a ton of the game. I'm not an idiot who will waste 60 bucks on crap. I can tell if I will like the game from it's plot narrative (which sucks) art style (which is terribly boring) and gameplay (which looks and from what I've been told unresponsive and stale). The icing on the cake for me was when I was watching a stream and some guy in broad daylight walked up to two guards, killed one and walked away and the other guard kept talking like nothing happened even though it was right in front of his face. He did this for ten minutes straight before I got bored of watching how easy the game was. Stupid AI = stealth game? LOL this game is a huge failure

So the main gripes were guards keep getting in your way, you know guarding stuff, and you felt like you were playing the game wrong if you killed them? Not sure who told you that. Try playing it the fun way.

He even complains about bowler hats for godsakes.

I somewhat agree with this OPINION piece.

I have played the game on my PC, and I didn't really enjoy it too much, I pretty much agree with most of what he says.

Like he says, it's not a bad game at all, it's just not as perfect as people keep making it out to be. Like any game it has its flaws.

Ive been playing dishonored for the last few days, and I like it alot but I have to agree with certain points the writer makes - specifically about playstyle and level design.

And while dishonored remains a breath of fresh air in a world of military FPS clones I will still likely sell it for far cry 3 or maybe even hitman when the time comes.

dont get me wrong though, it really is a great game, maybe its just us gamers who have turned into whiny bitches, myself included!

You still can kill people and not get a high chaos rating. The game only gets darker the more people you kill, over 20% in a single mission. Kill less people in the next mission and that will help lower your chaos rating.

This is what gives the game its replay value and I get why people complain about this so much. Trying playing it mostly stealth on one playthrough, go around everyone killing one of your next. You get different outcomes from it, you will notice little things that appear in missions (wanted posters will say different things, notes, stuff like that).
Just because there is achievement for not killing anyone doesn't mean they are forcing you play like that. Not in single mission will you ever be forced to use stealth, play it how ever you want.

Also when your peaking out its pretty easy to tell if your being seen. Those marks that appear over guards heads show you if they are aware of something, if you don't see any marks they don't see you. There is also so many ways to get around levels, its easy to avoid most guards.
