City Life for the Nintendo DS is being planned for release next month. It's a port of the 2006 PC real-time strategy game that allowed players to build a sprawling metropolis in full 3D for the very first time. That won't be possible on the DS, of course, but with the console's dual screens and touch sensitive controls, City Life DS could be just as interesting.
Screenshots and more information are available at Nintendic.
Like the games on the PC, you will be playing as a mayor, building your city, and you will get to choose from over 150 different building types – including famous world landmarks. And, as is expected, you will have to manage every part of your city. Somebody doesn't have electricity? Better get on that. Not enough nuclear power plants? Why not add another dozen or so?
IncGamers reports that City Life DS will be seeing a European release in late July.
At a recent CDV press event in San Francisco, GameShark was able to preview three out of the spotlight games for the DS and one for the Wii.
