It seems every game is getting the reboot treatment, so why have these games been left out?

I find it odd and sad contradiction that many call this gen creatively bankrupt, steeped in remakes, and yet every time I look around someone's asking for reboots rather then original IPs. Are telling the industry not to do anything original.
I would kill for a good Dune reboot. Loved all Dunes ever made.
