GodisaGeek: "It may have an all-new endorsement courtesy of Jay Z, mind-blowing graphics and a great new control scheme, but in terms of content and ways to play, NBA 2K13 has taken a little step backwards. It is badly let down by the lack of a comprehensive tutorial. It is all very well having a match introduced by another big hitting Jay-Z banger, or being able to go back to the essence with Stockton and Malone and party like it is 1992, or even invent a new pair of sneakers, but when this is seemingly to the detriment of providing strong instruction about the core fundamentals of the game, it grates. Information on how to control the game is buried in there somewhere, but my God there are some horrific menus, which can make reading up on all of these natty new plays and tricks like wading through treacle.
This does not make for a bad game, however. This is a marvellous basketball simulation, possibly the best on the market in terms of pure, on-court action, and one with a dynamic new set of controls that can only bode well for the future. As the (now) Brooklyn Nets will likely find out this coming season, giving an existing product a new lick of paint – in their case a rebranding and some edgy new uniforms – cannot hide the fact that there is much more that needs to be done to improve the team. 2K already had the best on-court product, and an outstanding game of hoops definitely got better in so many ways, yet as an overall product, the next instalment will have to deliver more."
Craig writes: "Since the release of the first NBA 2K game, EA have arguably been left behind in 2Ks dust in the basketball video game category."
No, don't stop. We need competition beetween sports franchises in gaming. Push on and don't stop or the 'winner' will become lazy

I don't know about that, Nba live was the basketball game to get until Nba live 07 came out.
The last good ones were Live 04 n 05 for ps2 era n Live 06 last gen
Gameinformer:
"We broke down eight games that use licensed songs so well it’s hard to imagine them without."
The man who sold the world from MGS V? If any song is to be remembered from that game it's Here's to you by Joan Baez/Ennio Morricone. That scene gave me goosebumps.
Stupid article. Music in games should be recognized for their impact like the crossing into Mexico in RDR. Not just tunes on the disc
Basketball is a sport that any child in America has played at one point or another. It was one of the key sports in gym classes across the country, and only continues to grow because it’s accessibility.
All you need is a ball and a basket.
If you’re like me, however, you’ll soon realize that you aren’t that great at basketball.
Despite this, you try and emulate Michael Jordan with the tongue hanging out, or, for kids today, doing three goggles after hitting a bucket. Still, at the end of the day, we may not have a future in the NBA.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the game we love.
This list is a joke, right?
Here is a real list from memory:
Lakers vs Celtics
Bulls vs Lakers
NBA Jam On Fire Edition
NBA Live 1995 Super NES
Konami NBA on Dreamcast
NBA Live 1999
College Hoops 2K
College Hoops 2K7/2K8
NBA 2K13
NBA 2K16
I would add a couple personal favorites from LONG ago. NBA In The Zone...cuz you could play a MJ (though they changed his number and name...which you could change back...it was STILL MJ...and it was before NBA Live 2000). Double Dribble...cuz you could finally see dunks! NBA ShootOut...cuz they finally added a bit of skill to shooting. Oh...and Magic Johnson vs. Larry Bird One On One...cuz it's the first one I ever played.
the A.I still can steal the ball without looking or deflected also. there are a ton of bugs that shouldnt be in the game! Why no one that writes these reviews mention this stuff? Is 2k payin for these reviews!? Fixs these freaking bugs!!!!!
