Final Fantasy Vita a Possibility

Final Fantasy Type-0 and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII director Hajime Tabata has expressed interest in developing specifically for Sony's latest handheld gaming platform, the PS Vita.

The next iteration of Dissidia on Vita would be mind-blowing no doubt. IF they do another Dissidia, SE has been doing a lot of things that seem to piss fans off lately, so I'm kinda worried on that front.

Yeah, I'm not expeting much, since KH3DS didn't do great, SE will probably port it to Vita and call it a day, Eastern Devs aside from the Niche, really seem to not care about Vita, 3DS is taking all the games.

I think that doing an enhanced port of Type 0 would make a lot of sense (considering they did not bother bringing the PSP to the West, seriously Square).

It would be a start and not require massive amounts of resources. And then follow that up with Dissidia 3. Both would sell.

FFXHD would definitely be a nice treat (wherever it is SE)

But you know what would also be awesome? Monster Hunter Portable Third. It's a PSP game in Japan that never got released anywhere else. All it needs is a slight upgrade in graphics, an easy access functional online and thats about it. So easy to do...

They should make Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, Final Fantasy VII:Crisis Core, and an English version of Final Fantasy Type-0 available on the Vita PSN store to get things warmed up. Then they should release Final Fantasy X HD and go for the home run with an original Final Fantasy Vita Title.

I hope they dedicate some creative developers exclusively for the vita. The vita needs a solid rpg that shows off its power. I have iPhone 5 and I have seen better graphics on free games than most of the vita library. I would definitely buy it because I already own every FF game known to mankind. Come on Square(soft).

I love my iPod Touch, but there are very few games with graphics anywhere close to Uncharted: Golden Abyss, MLB 12: The Show, Little Big Planet Vita, or Gravity Rush.

Those that do only look good due to restricted gameplay, like Rage HD.

@jjb1981 - Yeah, Infinity Blade is great... Except for the fact that all it has to do is LOOK pretty. There's not really anything else going on there. Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Little Big Planet Vita, etc. All these games look wonderful and have a TON going on (things like open world, level creation, physics and gun play, etc.)

Even if they localize type-0 I will definitely play it on my PSP after some1 undub it, unless they hack Vita by then, the stubbornness of some companies like SE & NAMCO to not include the original Japanese voice overs force thousands of hardcore JRPG fans to hack their PSP, because there is no other option to get rid of the fcking disgusting dub from a game.

It is more than likely square will eventually launch an ff for the vita, the system has passed a million and the announcement of a final fantasy game on the system would spark another sales boost.

I never got to the end of Crisis Core, is there a logical leap for a sequel, then they could bundle the two games together... although knowing Square, will release them individually at top whack.

Technically, I think the sequel to Crisis Core is Advent Children. So if they made a game of that, then yes that could be considered a sequel. It's a shame you missed the end though! The ending was the best part of the game, at least tell me you watched it online or something? XD

I was one of their biggest fans but at this point, I've come to realize that it's all PR BS. So disappointed in them this gen. And I'd like to believe that my expectations are reasonable...

Anyway, I'm hoping for a new FF exclusive title for the Vita. I'd be so psyched if it was any one of my 'dream' title:

- Final Fantasy Tactics II
- Dissidia RPG (in the vein of Kingdom Hearts)
- Final Fantasy 5/6 remake (drool---this would look beautiful on the Vita)
- Chrono 3 (technically not FF, but still awesome)

guys its square think about it for a second...we want versus type 0 and ffx hd but instead i have a bad feeling it could be yet another crappy spinoff of ff13....i think we need ffx hd 1st than something completely new....like the ff worlds merge together and u have a party of 4 men, 4 women and 2 beast types(kimahri and red 13). Also the most popular badguys are working together under someone that has never been seen b4

I rather play 13 on a handheld system then big screen. I'm dying to play FFX I never got the chance to play through it. My ps2 didn't play a lot of games I couldn't play(didn't read them only) killzone, god of war, and some other ones.
