Do anyone else think that Devil May Cry 4 would have sold better on the ps3 if it wasn't for they fact that the ps3 version was more expensive?

Edit: I know that the xbox 360 have a larger install base in the UK. But the UK doesn't not represent the entire PAL region.

predator5932d ago

No, UK 360 install base is a lot bigger, hence more sales, does not matter about price. If people who owned a ps3 wanted to get dmc4 they would have, its not like its more expensive than a normal game.

anyway glad to see strong sales on both formats for all new games. Us brits love our games

TheHater5932d ago

isn't the ps3 version more expensive than the Xbox 360 version in the UK?

killer_trap5932d ago

i don't even think there were adds for the game on ps3. actually I'm kinda surprised that it's not that much far behind the 360 version.

MJY2K5932d ago

Depends where you look, some online retailers are selling them at the same price point and cheaper than the high street retailers

Eretik5932d ago

Oh! Yes! I am recalling! Nintendo has so high requirements to translate texts and speeches in the game! That it may be done only during six month after sales start in Japan. And European gamers must buy Nintendo games on double price, of course. Unbelievable.

Good luck DMC4, although.

Bazookajoe_835932d ago

I import almost all of my games from www.videogamesplus.ca 60 dollar is a bargain when i have to pay a hundred here at retailers "giving the finger to all swedish stores"

MK_Red5932d ago

Hope Burnout Paradise sales increase. At least DMC4 is doing great.

resistance1005932d ago

The title is a bit incorrect, its just the UK & Ireland Charts, Not the PAL region all together.

Given the Ps3s dominance in areas such as France, spain and italy, i suspect the Ps3 version of DMC4 will come out on top overal

From what I see on Reddit, a lot of fans also hate him... it is just a guy that like the stir shits up, it is not good for both the Arrowheads and the fans.

Michiel19891h ago

I think he just got fed up by people's complaining and accidentally spilled the beans

northpaws1h ago

Ya, but unfortunately that's the nature of the job, you can't get emotional, he represents the company.

That's what happens when you Spitz in the face of your employer and your customers.

I was hoping for something different from Coalition, not Gears 6 so soon.
Their expertise in UE development could've propelled them to try out other IPs using the new UE5.
But guess, given recent MS' state, Gears 6 was the 'safer' call for the studio. But still hope they venture other IPs or even other genres ... at least FPSs in future?

Alexious8h ago

Microsoft seems only interested in maximizing profits through its biggest IPs at this point.

Fishy Fingers5h ago

So soon? Its been 5 years since Gears 5, longest gap between games in the franchise.

XiNatsuDragnel10h ago

I was hoping for better but Microsoft being safe again....

MrDead5h ago

Why would people be less angry? If MS made it's own games instead of buying up what was already available then we wouldn't be in the situation that everyone is angry at.

MS is the problem.

miyoka5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

Just forget what happened and keep supporting Microsoft!

SonyStyled3h ago(Edited 2h ago)

Everybody pays for or uses MS in some form personally or professionally. If that’s considered supporting, it hasn’t been helping Xbox.

PRIMORDUS5h ago

Fuck MS and Phil. I already told that shit bag off on Twitter, if the dumb ass responds I highly doubt it, I will go off much worse. What a fucking disgrace MS and Phil are to the gaming community.

I love Ratchet & Clank so I will indeed be keeping an eye on this.

DivineHand1252h ago

Same. I am a big fan of the series and feel it is criminally underappreciated by the community at large.
