The Transformers have been around for quite some time. Derived from a Japanese toy line called Dia-clone and Micro Man toy lines in Japan, and adjusted to make the now well known Transformers Generation one toy line which started it all. They have stood the test of time and been the heroes of young boys and men alike. Most recently with the success of the modern live action movies and updated cartoons the Transformers have made a strong come back. For those newbies who have no clue about them: The Transformers are a sentient group of robots comprised of the Auto-bots (heroes) and the Decepticons (villains) locked in an eternal struggle which revolves not only around a struggle for the power source known as Energon, but also for dominance of the universe. It’s a battle that to me never gets old.
While originally only the PlayStation and Steam stores were affected, now all the Transformers games on Xbox One and Xbox 360 have been delisted from the marketplaces.
Legend of Korra has been delisted from all marketplace stores as well. The rights expired with Activision.
Jason Stettner of Gamerheadquarters writes; "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron was a remarkable game, it continued the story line that War setup and presented players with the world of Cybertron which is often only mentioned in most media. "
Both 'War for' and 'Fall of' are really well made games. Much better than any of the movie licensed ones.
I love these games way better then the movie crap that was put out. Too bad the third game Rise of the Dark Spark sucked they had a great franchise going on with War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron.
Despite the franchise being almost perfect for a line of video games, many of the Transformers games have been mediocre or plain terrible.
"It’s not all bad new for fans though, because there is a new animated TV series based on the original Generation 1 series and toyline coming too."
I'd never heard of that. Would be interesting to see, tho.
