Valve is celebrating the German videogame conference GamesCom 2013 with a celebration of Paris-developed games from the 19th to the 25th of August.
"The 'Game From Paris' will feature 17 successful titles developed by Parisian studios, that Steam users will be able to download at a discounted prices," according to the press release.
Ian from DJ Podcasts writes "For gamers who grew up in the early 90s and for fans of games during those first few years Kickstarter as a business model is really starting to pay off. As an average consumer even more so, because you don’t have to do anything and the 1000s of fans out there chipping in are paying, for your child hood memories to be remade."
This game hasn't been getting much exposure at all considering it looks pretty good and is releasing in a week. Might be a sleeper hit.
I've been watching this game for a while and just can't quite decide if I want to pick it up or not yet. It seems like it could be good but just competition is tough this season. I sort of think it could be like Overlord and be a sleeper hit/cult game from the looks of it but if it was released around summer (like Overlord) it might have selled better (assumption as not even out yet).
I have a feeling it'll end up more like Enslaved though :( Good game but just can't compete with other titles and will be more of a renter for most.
