The Wii U's new app, the Miiverse, will change social gaming as we know it.
Game developers have already started to confirm that they will support the Nintendo Switch 2 with their future titles.
Hanzala from eXputer: "As Nintendo takes out 20 years' worth of stuff from Garry's Mod, I watch in shock, thinking why it continues to hurt and discourage its fans."
The irony that some of the most disgusting business practices come from companies like Disney or Nintendo, i can't even begin to understand what terrible damage was Garrys Mod making to Nintendo bottom line, imho they're getting pretty nervous about where they're heading in the future, handhelds are no longer something exclusive to Nintendo, from Steam Deck to many others, now you can play the latest games and pay a fraction of the price on Steam sales, so it's up to their exclusives, which just on their own would make hard to justify purchasing a closed overpriced hardware with outrageous price policies (Super Mario Odyssey is still 60 euro 6 years later!), and as a home console they're always underperforming compared to Sony or Xbox.
Look at how they handled Nintendo games being streamed or uploaded on YouTube in the past. They killed Yuzu and Citra even when they had nothing to do with ToTK being leaked, not to mention it was basically unplayable on emulation the week it was leaked. Smash Bros tournament, that was fairly recent. They shut down their online services without any care for purchases made. I bought a switch after skipping their last 2 consoles and handhelds but I don't plan on buying anything Nintendo in the future. They take things to the extremes, they legitimately hate their fans. They're honestly right up there with the likes of Acti, EA, and Ubi, only difference is that they disguise themselves as being family friendly all the while being shady.
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
That's fine and dandy, but isn't actual online gaming closer to what Nintendo calls "gamer interaction?"
I appreciate what Nintendo is trying to do with Miiverse, but I strongly feel as though establishing a proper online network is much more important than treading new waters without strong legs to stand on.
How about having your own app or website for cheats, tips, and whatever stuff that is beneficial to gamers Nintendo, Sony, M$ for your own gamers in your own network that will make a lot of "social" gaming traffic if you ask me!
Have your own fanart site instead of deviantart.
If Apple have its way on video gaming they will enclose everything gaming related in their own iEcosystem "walled garden" and reap all the benefits for themselves. That is "greed" that makes a lot of sense.
Instead of going to gamefaqs, youtube, facebook etc. you can contain your own fanbase inside your own platforms.
That is the whole idea why Apple revolutionized things. Now that will be revolutionary!
The thing I like about the Wii U is the simple integrations it brings with TV, video streaming, social interactions, game interactions and family interactions.
The Wii U is in a good position much like facebook was to expand its industry and not only make it simple but aquire an attachment it to it. If Nintendo can gather a nice attachment to the Wii U then it really wouldn't matter what Sony or Microsoft release in the next 2-3 years because the Wii U will not be leaving anyones entertainment centers because of the simplicity and ease of use its fully integrated features bring to the tv.
That is of course speaking as IF the Wii U can aquire a high attachment rate in the next 2-3 years.
I have a good feeling about Miiverse, i think it will integrate well its looking good so far i like the direction nintendo are going with this
