The Nintendo 3DS entertainment system has done quite well for the week ending September 22nd. Clocking in at #1 on the worldwide hardware charts by a significant margin. I am glad that the entire world is enjoying the magic of the Nintendo product line just as I am. And things only seem to be getting better as time goes along.
On the software side of things. When worldwide numbers are released, one may be hard pressed to find handheld software present within the top 10. But New Super Mario Bros 2 has been the difference maker in that category. 9 entire weeks into its lifespan, NSMB2 remains the only handheld title remaining in the top 10. Outlasting offerings from Nintendo 3DS entertainment system competitors, newly released and older offerings. Also showing the staying power of the Super Mario franchise, while at the same time strengthening the Nintendo brand name.
After a controversial start, it seems that the Nintendo 3DS entertainment system is here to stay. While maintaining a steady flow of AAA quality exclusive offerings, and at the same time significantly outpacing other competing handheld devices and their titles. Doing its part in showing doubters that Nintendo still has a place in the overly competitive handheld on the go market. A little bit of positive attitude and strategic positioning can go a long way.
Rated E For Everyone
