A few gameplay and visual changes have been confirmed and spotted for the upcoming remastered collection, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX on the Playstation 3.

Chain of Memories and 358/2 have a lot of important stuff that lead into KH2. Otherwise you'll be Really lost at beginning of 2. You can easily find a videos of all the cutscenes of both games so you dont have to play through them all the way.
Wouldn't actually say Chains is necessary before going into 2 since you know just as much as Sora. While I do like a lot from 358/2, aside from a few things it's mostly world/character building Days came out after 2 anyway and would take a lot of mystery away. Maybe I'm just trying to simulate how I experienced the story but in that case I actually started playing 2 first lol. Cutscenes should be sufficient for sure.

Cropped images? Uhhh, that's not good. I hope that's just the pictures and not actually what it looks like in-game. Other than the issue of cutting out things from the top and bottom of the screen the textures and remodels look really nice.
Now, if SE would stop dragging their asses and announce a western release I'll be good. Though with their track record lately, I wouldn't be surprised if this just stayed a Japanese exclusive.

oops... I thought this wasnt coming to the west but i guess it is now.. Sony has been bringing over all the good stuff as of late... Why couldnt they do this when that white dude was CEO of the company? Seems as if he was trying to do everything xbox was instead of focusing on what makes PS so great to begin with.. Its versatility is the best.. Western & Eastern titles just like PS2 & theyre finally getting it right.. This my friends is one of the reasons why PS is my main & preferred consoles & will remain that way..
