7 Legends is likely to see more copies thanks to the inclusion of Daniel Craig as James Bond, reckons ex-Bond actor, Sir Roger Moore.
With the release of "No Time to Die" on the horizon, Newsweek has taken a look at the best and worst James Bond video games of all time.
They didn’t make the cut but I also liked From Russia with Love, Bloodstone and the MP in Quantum of Solace.
The best was always going to be Goldeneye! Very fond memories of the split screen MP on N64!
Have to say, this was one of the very few times I fully agree with a "best/worst" list. The top 3 are definitely my top 3...in that order, no less.
Agent Under Fire was the shit. Probably the only one that comes close to Goldeneye, imo. Multiplayer matches in the Church level with everyone using grappling hooks and sniping each other to death. Or the harbor level and everyone rocket launching each other for hours. Lots of fun.
I actually thought Quantum of Solace was pretty good. Treyarch did a decent job. The levels were well designed and had actual replayability. It was a little bit too action-heavy, and not having driving sections was a mistake. But I still enjoyed my time with it.
I'm excited to see what IO Interactive does with the license. I think they're currently the best choice. Hitman laid a great foundation for a Bond-style game. They aren't known for driving gameplay so I doubt we'll see any, but I'm still optimistic about the game.
Stan at GameSpew: Since 1982 there's been a wide range of great 007 games, but we've narrowed it down to the 10 best.
James Bond is a dead franchise. It is now a social justice victim (see also Ghostbusters). Franchise is DEAD. I will never watch another one. Thanks SJW's. You have killed something else.
Nintendo Life: With the new James Bond film Skyfall currently rocking movie theaters across the globe, you might expect this year's 007 game to be all about the present. Instead, Eurocom's swansong digs into the franchise's rich legacy, updating some of Bond's more memorable moments for the modern era. With the successful re-imagining of GoldenEye and a history of reasonably good Bond games dating back to the N64, Eurocom has proven that they know their way around a Bond movie or two. But could they manage six of them at once in 007 Legends?
Doubtful, but I will wait and see
lol...no it won't
Why would I want to buy a Bond game and play classics Bond levels with a totaly differn't Bond from the films the levels are from.
I mean I couldn't even play Goldeneye Reloaded because it wasn't the same without Pierce Brosnan.
Each Bond is differnt, the film they are from suits the personality of the actor who is the current Bond. Daniel Craigs Bond is too serious and is a brute...I mean the prequels that he's staring in seem more like Jason Bourne films then James Bond, although Skyfall does seem like it's getting back to what Bond was about. I mean take this for example, in Casino Royale he was supposed to be inexperienced, brand new at being 007, you would think he would have to use things like gadgets, luck and even the enviroments to defeat his enemies but as I said the guy plays like a brute and makes it seem like he's been Bond for years.....I miss the cheesyness from the Bond films where scenes were a little corny with one liners or over the top action sequences.
Although it's more to do that i don't buy Activision games, this is basicaly just been made for the new Skyfall game coming out in November but instead of making a Skyfall game which would get people thinking "Urgh...a movie tie in game" they chose to do levels from differn't Bond games instead. Nice try Acitivison....
GOLDENEYE is the only one for me always.
How about solid gameplay?
Would have been better to have had different Bonds for the different levels. I don't like Daniel Craig in Goldeneye.
