Kotaku - The PlayStation 2 has come a long way. Since its initial release in Japan on March 4th back in the year 2000 (October 26th for the west), the successor to the original PlayStation console reigned for years as THE home console to have and continues to sell to this day. But while the console may sell, what about new software?
If you buy a ps2 now you wont need to buy any console for awhile.
I miss the old times where there werent a million dlc packs to get a complete game and games still had unlockable costumes instead of dlc one's.
There are plenty of Japan only PS2 games that I would buy if they came out today... I'm looking at you Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix!
Final Fantasy 11 expansion...
Well theres 30 seconds of my life I'll never get back.
Correct if wrong, but do you not only need a fat PS2 to play FF11 but a modem - A MODEM! - attachment and a HDD which only fit on a fat PS2 - hence why you can only play it on a fat PS2!
AND OF COURSE ITS SQUARE WHO'S DOING THIS!!!
(Worse still, can't find a gif or vid of an angry Grover waving his arms - internets you have failed me...)
I remember everyone got that bundle to play socom and none of them even took the plastic of FF.
