Dustin Spencer from Capsule Computers writes: As a long-time Nintendo fan, no series holds a more special place for me than Kirby. The franchise as a whole is simple, light, and has always been about innovation and quality with every release that HAL have delivered during the past two decades. This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the series, and Nintendo want to celebrate their mascot who has mainly played third fiddle to the likes of Mario and Link over the years with one jam-packed compilation by the name of Kirby’s Dream Collection: Special Edition. Yes folks, this one is for the fans and encased in love, but is it enough? Do these 6 ports and bonus features warrant a purchase on a console that is on it’s last leg? Consider this the only answer you will need.
GameZone takes a look back at the inaugural entry in the Kirby series.
I never played much Kirby before. But I just picked up the dream collection on the wii and these games are great!6 great games for like $20 can't beat that.Epic yarn and return to dreamland for the Wii cost more but are worth the money too.I do wish Nintendo would let us play them in color like you could on super gameboy, and GB player for Gamecube. They are probably just waiting to release those so we can buy the same game twice.Thank's Nintendo!lol
Kirby music has been charming players of the series with eccentric pops and cheery tones since the very first title in 1992. For the second episode of Tuesday Tunes on MoarPowah.com, I invite you to join me for a quick journey through the musical history of this beloved series.
Finally! I love Music from Kirby games! probably my favorite out of any video game series ever! I love Squeek Squad and Nightmare in dreamland! <3
So we are right at the end of 2012, and what a year it has been for gaming, with the start of the new generation of home consoles with the release of the Wii U, 3DS outselling the Vita, the final demise of the DS and a host of great games. However, which one do we think was the best release this year? Now were not accounting for sales of games, which would make Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and AC3 top our lists, were looking at innovative gameplay, a game that for us, was just better than anything else out there.
