Fans are upset that Bayonetta 2 is exclusive to the Wii U, but they shouldn't be.
Vice president Hideki Kamiya, director Yosuke Matsumura and producer Yuji Nakao discuss the standalone release.
Bayonetta's character design and abilities have changed a lot since the series debuted in 2009, with new costumes and dark arts in every title.
Many fans have been expressing their disappointment with Bayonetta 3. Here's why the recently released game is a clear step down from Bayonetta 2.
I thought they focused on big kaiju like fights which felt gimmicky and thy brought this new character in to try and get away from the leading star
*Spoilers*
I mean they pretty much killed 3 big characters. They killed Jeanne, Luka and Bayonetta herself and it's not the fact they died it's how they died, we've seen Jeanne and Bayonetta survive countless things yet they go out by the lamest ways possible.
Thing is, while disappointing, it shouldn't be all that surprising. Not when much of this is Sega's fault. Sega, the company who put Valkyria Chronicles on the PS3, the second game on the PSP and didn't release the third in the US.
Their finical issues aside, they've created and failed several times in commitments to fans. This is only another.
Or rather, asking/expecting fans of a series to buy another system has become business as usual. And not just for them.
Call it dissapointing rather than revealing. It reveals the fanboys or 'hardcore' gamer true colors/ Nothing but whiny, immature, little bitches.
Back during the SNES/Genesis days gamers followed the games, I didn't have a Genesis but my neighbor did and we'd play Altered beast, Sonic 2, Streets of Rage, classic games.
I had the SNES and my friends would come by and we'd play Street Fighter 2, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country, classic games.
All this bitching about 'I'm boyoctting this game because xyz' is retarded. And shows the 'hardcore' aren't hardcore at all. You folks that bitched about this game being a Wii U exclusive are cry babies. If you like the game enough buy the console or don't.
Gamers would be happy that a game they liked or loved has a sequel being made in the first place. It's been revealed the game wouldn't exist if Nintendo hadn't stepped in. but that's not enough the the 'hardcore' gamer. Pathetic, sad and any other adjective you can think of is what you nerdcore gamers are.
Well said.I've always hated the terms 'Hardcore' and 'Casual' anyway, such nonsense. There's people who like to play video games and people who don't....that's it.
Nintendo saved the franchise from going under. I rather have it on the Wii U than not having it at all!
I'm a gamer and have been for the past 25+ years. I appreciate all systems and use them for their strengths. PS3 for their first party games, 360 for multi-player games, Wii for first party and family games and eventually the Wii U for first party and family games and maybe some hardcore games...we'll see.
I totally agree with Arius Dion, most of the people who are complaining about this are immature kids who have nothing better to do. It's time for you kids to move out and live on your own; and maybe you'll grow up a little after reality kicks your asses. You guys are living in La La Land.
I predict more articles on this throughout the next month.
