GameChronicles:
Having just come off a tour of duty with Trickstar’s Damage Inc. - Pacific Squadron WWII I have to admit I was a bit leery of any flight combat game to follow. After all, if this $50 retail release could fail so epically, how much hope would this $15 XBLA title have at wowing me? Apparently, City Interactive has put a lot more effort into their WWII dogfighting game and even if it doesn’t work with some fancy joystick it still ends up being a far more enjoyable arcade experience.
Well this is a very disappointing month for reduced content.
Richard Berry: "It’s great to see support for local co-op but with the omission of online co-op I feel City Interactive have missed a trick here, especially as Damage Inc. is a lot of fun when played online. Heavy reliance on ace mode can make the game far too easy but take down your foes using your own aerial skills and Dogfight 1942 will certainly give you a challenge."
