Heavy Fire: Special Operations 3D Review -- Digitally Downloaded

Heavy Fire: Special Operations 3D soldiers its way onto the 3DS eShop with guns blazing. Even though the stylus controls bring a fun approach to the on-rails gameplay that’s found here, the gun jams a bit too quickly after stepping into the heat of battle. Poor level design and questionable options and settings mar what potentially could’ve been a fun little eShop title worth grabbing with its cheap asking price. Sadly, this operation just isn’t worth enlisting in.

Pocket Gamer: Terrorists, huh? Just think how many war video games we'd have been deprived of if it wasn't for them. Those lovable scallywags.

Heavy Fire: Special Operations 3D is another title that would have never seen the light of day were it not for those terrorist-y types, what with it being a terrorist shooter simulation an' all.

Nintendo Download: 25th October 2012 (Europe)

Ouch. Not much in the way of Nintendo downloadable goodness this week, with just three games available - all of which are 3DS-based and one of which is a retail download. Aside from some downloadable videos and a smattering of DLC, there's not much else to report. Still, there may be something in the update that tickles your fancy.
