It liiives! In the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, Sega announced that another spinoff of their wonderfully campy House of the Dead series, English of the Dead, is on its way to the Nintendo DS.
In honor of the DS' long lifespan, this week's Important Importables looks at 10 weird games released for the system, like Duel Love, Doki Doki Majo Shinpan, Zombie Daisuki and Vampire Knight DS.
If you ever played House of the Dead, you would certainly be at home with English of the Dead. Think of it this way, instead of shooting bullets in what basically is a rail shooter, you write with the stylus individual letters, words and sentences, and even construct whole sentences from jumbled-up words. Each successful action spells out (pun intended) as a hit, like a bullet hit in the arcade game.
DarkZero: Sega has released an online demo for the upcoming DS release of English of the Dead in Japan.
The game boasts ideas similar to that of Ubisoft's My Language Coach titles, although it is infinitely more fun as it plays like a version of House of the Dead.
