Retro Re-Releases: Sega Heritage Collection

Sega have recently released this trailer, showcasing their three upcoming HD re-releases of Nights into Dreams, Jet Set Radio and Sonic Adventure 2. While there is still no mention of the much-wanted HD update to Shenmue, there is still plenty to get excited about for Sega enthusiasts and a chance for a new generation of gamers to play titles that they might have missed the first time around. Even though these are three games I’ve played to death, the HD updates are all day one purchases for me and I can’t wait to get my teeth stuck into them again. All in all this seems like a good time to have a look at what gamers new to these games might expect from them.

Sega sells Relic and will cut 240 jobs across UK studios

GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."
