Wipeout 3 new screenshots

Activision released some new screenshots from its crazy obstacle course game which is heading to consoles on the 25th.

Lemme tell ya. These HD remakes sure make the games look different. The original Wip3out looked a lot more like an anti-grav racer and a lot less like an obstacle course game.

you know, it's still early, but I imagine there will be some variation between course selection, on one hand, giant punching gloves knocking cars off tracks may be fun, but it may piss off wipeout purists.

That's absolutely true, it's still way too early to tell & who knows what the final game will be like. As a bit of a purist myself I'm not yet sold on the change of direction but it's sure a good thing to see some devs try to refresh a formula. Time will tell.
