Why Dishonored is my Most Anticipated Game This Year | IGN Hands-On

IGN:

If you’ve been following Dishonored on IGN, you probably read Charles’ “Death at a Dinner Party” adventures earlier this year, in which he crashed a masked ball and caused total chaos, attracting the whole city’s attention by murdering guests and throwing canisters of explosive whale oil at guards. I sat down with the exact same mission recently, and was a bit concerned that I’d have nothing new to write about. How wrong I was.

It certainly looks to be one of the best games this year

Looks very good from what I have seen, but as always I have big doubts as well. It will most likely not be a day 1 I will sit back and watch to see how many bugs are present at launch.

Exactly this!!! WAIT !!
PETE HINES HAS ALREADY BEEN CAUGHT LYING ABOUT THIS GAME
He said press were playing ps3 versions at pax. But they were Xbox button prompts.
SAME LIES HE SAID ABOUT SKYRIM BEFORE LAUNCH

It's my most anticipated as well. As soon as they started talking about Thief influences, I was sold.

JellyJelly4266d ago

It's developed by Arkane Studios and only published by Bethesda.

Still a buggy modified gamebryo engine.
Yes, a different team but so was fall out new Vegas

Getowned4266d ago

Hmm, Dishonored looks cool.
*see bethesda logo* Damn it!
*looks to see who making it* YAY its not bethesda!
*looks at comment section reads nihonlight post* Damn it! hes right

^ this is what just happened to me(many of us probably)
Guess I'll wait for reviews and see how bad the bugs are before I get it,

Sorry, but I see this game drowning after AC3, RE6, FH, and MOH get released.

I can see it getting some pretty descent review score. It does look good after all.

The Magic of 'Dishonored’s' Blink

It’s a shame, really, that so few games have “borrowed” Dishonored’s Blink – in the right hands, such a power could be game-changing.

It felt kinda cheap to me… both in terms as a tactic, and game design

Abnor_Mal457d ago (Edited 457d ago )

There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.

Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.

The sequel changed some of the mechanics from the first game but it was still a very polished and enjoyable experience. You should definitely give it a shot sometime. The game's currently on sale on Steam

Abnor_Mal456d ago

Okay thanks for the heads up, will look out for it being on sale one day.

I really did like the first and played it back to back as soon as I finished the first play through.
