Mass Effect 3 Wii U Release Detailed

One of the biggest reveals for the Wii U console at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) back in June was the revelation that BioWare and Electronic Arts would be bringing Mass Effect 3 to Wii U. Today, following Nintendo UK’s ‘Nintendo Direct’ presentation, new details on the Mass Effect 3 – Special Edition product have been confirmed.

I'm glad Nintendo fans get to taste the series but it's going to feel greatly lacking without the first two entries and I don't care how great the interactive back story piece is there is just some stuff you can't replicate with the feature.

I wouldn't recommend anyone play the series without doing all 3. A couple comics can't replace the first two games, or the personal sense of moving your own Shepard through the trilogy.

Don't let EA fool you into believing it's the same thing. Don't screw yourself out of the real Mass Effect experience. Play it on PC or 360.

It is still a great game, but I agree, lacking the story progressino of the first one means you are missing a lot!

The story there was epic!!! Seeing your action in the first one have an outcome on the second one is even more epic, and then the third one makes me want to go back and play it again. If only the game wasn't that long.

It's so true. Unless Microsoft sells the publishing rights to EA, it kind of sucks to be a PS3 or Wii U only owner.

" Wii U players will also experience the From Ashes downloadable content (DLC) pack, and Extended Cut ending as a part of their story at no extra charge."

Didn't everyone on PS3 and 360 get the extended ending for free? They make it sound like its something you have to pay for.

Sh sh sh shhhhh... They dont know that.

its pretty dumb on EA's behalf not to include some sort of comic like ME2 on ps3 has or on a separate disk in the same bundle release ME 2 too.

in a game where story carries over and your choices matter or atleast EA wanted us to think they matted its pretty stupid just to ask fans to forget the first 2 games and play the 3rd

but if you only had a wii than atleast you will get a taste for ME series even though the 2nd in my opinion was the best

PR people my friend they will make the most generic thing sound like the best, its their job lol

Skate-AK4274d ago

They do have a comic like thing.

"Mass Effect 3 – Special Edition will also include an interactive backstory feature covering previous events in the Mass Effect universe, all leading up to the beginning of Mass Effect 3."

Megaton4274d ago

BioWare and EA have tried to make ME1 and 2 seem less and less important as they keep trying to milk parts of the series onto new platforms. It's pathetic seeing them treat their own work like completely disposable garbage for PR to make a few bucks off of unsuspecting gamers.
