More Red Faction 3 Hints

During THQ's financial conference call with analysts, company execs gave a little more info on Red Faction 3, their upcoming next game in their Volition developed sci-fi first person shooter series. Execs stated that the game would be coming out for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 some time in the publisher's 2009 fiscal year (which begins on April 1, 2008) and that Red Faction 3 will continue the franchise's theme of highly destructible environments. More info on the game should be announced in the coming weeks, according to the conference call.

Great destructable environment with next gen gfx and gameplay will be fun. Last one was with selective destruction hope they make it more functional and less of a gimmick.

I am a huge fan of the first two and I am really excited for a new one. Hopefully after Saints Row 2 comes out Volition will give us a lot on Red Faction 3.

I love Red Faction followed the series off of the PC.
From a console stand point I know the PS3 version will slaughter the competition.

hell yea red faction! "DIE Miner!" loved the first, second was meh tho. was like a totally different game with the red faction name put on it, didnt feel like the first. hope the third is great

I never really played the second one.

But Red Faction PC had to have been my overall favorite multiplayer game ever. I was in 4 different clans in that game.

Nothing beats being able to tunnel your way to the top of a building with the rocket launcher, and sniping fools through the roof with the heat radar on the rail gun.,, Or digging holes with grenades in front of your flag and trapping fools in them and dropping c4 packs on them. That game was too much fun..

and the guns were awesome. Precision rifle was a true challenge to empty a clip on 3 different people in like 3 seconds, sniper rifle was dead on and FAST. Rail was insane, loved rail only maps... Rail wasn't too hard to use, just took extreme skill and had a long reload time, but once you got the hang of it, it's like shooting free throws or something...

I just have fond memories of that game....

I have ben lobbying for this game to make a comeback for years...i cant wait til this bad boy comes out. The strategies
you can come up with in multiplayer is gonna be insane. Come on THQ get this game ready
