Watch indie developers smash a car while also promoting their game

The Plagued Gamer writes: "It's not often you get to meet the crew of a full indie studio, but it's even rarer to actually witness said studio coming together to demolish a vehicle. Why? The better question is... why not?"

That's a shame, but they should have at least done more to release the game in a better state.

kythlyn301d ago (Edited 301d ago )

They really should have stuck to point and click adventures... they made quite a few decent ones over the years.

VivaChe301d ago

They should have done market research — the public reaction to even the idea of the game was quite negative right from the start. This was a game nobody asked for or wanted, even aside from the bugs.

Jin_Sakai302d ago (Edited 302d ago )

I hate to see studios close but they made a really bad game. The studio has actually never made a decent game from what I’ve seen.

I liked their older games (Edna breaks out, Deponia series, Silence) which were 90s style adventure games. But this is such a niche and maybe to most nowadays outdated form of games, you rarely win over the majority of reviewers if it isn't a extraordinary life changing experience or build on nostalgia.

Pity. But whoever greenlit a gollum game? It's the laast character that anyone will play anyway. There's literally an array of other characters in lotr world. Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, gimli etc..

frostypants301d ago

The LotR IP has been in terrible hands ever since Christopher Tolkien died. EVERYTHING gets geenlit regardless of quality...this game, that terrible Amazon series, and likely endless other bad ideas to come.

Inverno302d ago

not really sure what to say about this, or how to word it. I'm sympathetic to those who lost a job, but also the studio was just very dumb. Too ambitious when they lacked the talent, and a clear direction. The price and the fact it was broken really didn't help either. A real shame

Suddenly it all makes sense.

I wonder if their apology statement is also in the works yet, or if that comes later in development?

May want to work on this one longer. But if it has dated gameplay than it is screwed either way
