Microsoft signs deal with tree software firm

Microsoft Game Studios have signed a deal with the creators of SpeedTree RT foliage software that will be appearing in a number of Windows and 360 games yet to be announced. The software delivers highly realistic trees and plants, with adjustable wind effects as seen in Project Gotham Racing.

anybody familiar with this "tree" software? or any games that uses such?

Some of the best Jungle/Tree animation of seen have been in Crysis and Uncharted.

Click on the side. there's some company including sony that used Speedtree. Resistance used it too. ;o

Square-enix will be using it as well for The Last Remnant
