Review: Stay Dead (PC) - BNBGAMING

While it might have died down in recent years, the ‘interactive movie’ genre was a staple in arcades and on home consoles throughout the ’80s and ’90s. From Dragon’s Lair to Fahrenheit, interactive movies have received their fair share of love and hate throughout the years, and some titles, specifically Night Trap, paved the way for the creation of the ESRB.

While titles such as Heavy Rain have eschewed the use of live-action footage in favor of computer generated graphics, BRUCEFilm’s Stay Dead wholeheartedly embraces the concept of full-motion video, aiming to serve up an interactive fighter that is as much fun to watch as it is to play. Unfortunately, while the game’s concept has some solid footing to work on, the execution falls flat on its face, with a title that’s too boring, simple, and short.
