Windows 8's Gunstringer: Dead Man Running developed by Other Ocean

Joystiq:

The Gunstringer: Dead Man Running is a significant departure from the original game. For one thing, it's not a Kinect game for Xbox, but rather a Windows 8 game for PCs and tablets. For another, development is taking place not in Austin, but up north in Canada, at Other Ocean Interactive.

This clearly can not be true as reviews say otherwise. Plus the many people that have only played the demo or only read the reviews agree with those reviews.

It is odd that no one talked about how the combat was lacking after the demo was available, not until today it is being said with confidence.

Thank goodness the game is only thirty dollars instead of sixty, so I will just have to get it for myself and judge.

From what I played of the demo they did do it correctly but I have yet to play the full game so I'll hold off on my opinions tell then.

Well, yeah... If it's free of course it's going to be downloaded a lot.

Dhampir3371d ago

I'd like to know how many deleted after playing 1 match. Haven't used real tank controls since mechwarrior on ps1 though, that was different.(Used analog joystick)

Haha you raise a very good point. That being said, I doubt Lococycle hit 1 million downloads in a week.

Actually, it would be interesting to look at all the Games With Gold and PS+ free games to investigate the correlation between a game being free and how many downloads it gets.

Q&A: XboxMAD talks to the dev's over at Other Ocean about Twitter integrated title #IDARB

#IDARB is an ID@Xbox game, featuring innovative progression of crowd sourced feedback, as well a crowd sourced game play mechanics. Spectators can interfere with in-progress matches using the #IDARB hash tag on twitter or via Twitch streams of the game. Envisage the chaos.

I recently caught up with Mike Mika of Other Ocean to discuss all things #IDARB. Read on to discover what makes this intrepid game utterly unique. Oh, and Goatse?

Awesome job guys, can't wait to see how this game plays out. Really looking forward to this game espcially with all things people can do to obstruct the game.
