My Most Nostalgic Games

"Growing up as a gamer, there have been plenty of titles that I have had the pleasure of playing that have been burnt into my brain. Whether they were titles that I enjoyed playing with my brother well into the wee hours of the morning or games that were best played alone, they are titles that, when I think, write, or talk about them, instill that comforting, warm feeling of nostalgia. While some of these titles have gone on to explode into full on series that are still alive today, it’s the games that kicked off these current successful titles that truly grab my heart."

my cousins use to play the crap out of nightmare creature, me though i just looked at them play. i never really liked the game because the lighting was crappy, you could barely see anything let alone know where your going and the controls sucked.

I think anyone could easily right 50 nostalgia games, we are talking about the best of the best, not all of them. I could easily write down 100 but aren't going too... And by the way PS1 and PS2> N64 and gamecube.

Maybe you didn't actually take a look at that list.

Those are the Best of the Best for the most part. I was just lucky enough to have played a ton of games growing up that were of high quality.

THESONYPS34258d ago (Edited 4258d ago )

You didn't play a 'tonne' of games, average player would eaily have atleast that if not more games. But they aren't even that great of games, I feel sorry for you. You missed out on so many better games.

I’d have taken a few of those out. Prefer Sonic over Sonic 2. Outrun should be in there. Maybe even Pong as millions of people had fun with that even if it was repetitive. Final Fight pipped any Streets of Rage game, although Streets of Rage had the better soundtrack. Too many to list l guess. To me, retro gaming is the 1980s, maybe going into early 1990s.

Agree that the generational gap is too broad to really make a strong list. Need to tighten the years a bit. Hard to compare Pac Man with N64 games.

Eternal Darkness was way ahead of its time especially for a Nintendo exclusive.

I would love to see a remake or sequel (multiplatform)

Ristul108d ago

When I see Eternal Darkness, I klick!

TheBrainZ108d ago

Not to sound too repetitive but Eternal Darkness all the way!

GaboonViper108d ago
