this country has embraced the xbox360. The honey moon is over.
5 ps3 titles to 1 xbox 360 title.
It's look like europe has choose its side.
2008 looks like to be the ps3 years. It's starting well for PS3.

We prefer varity of games, Shooters are great but get boring after awhile, and for the shooter fans Ps3 has a better FPS line up this year aswell. We also like value for money, and anything football related =]

Uncharted is gonna go past 2 million. At the rate it's selling it's going to pass both Mass Effect and Bioshock in Workdwide sales.(Its only 2 months old)

because of mouth to mouth praise. It started off slow in europe but as soon as people found out that it was good they started purchasing the game. This is why it is picking on on weekly basis

Living in France, i'm surprised... and not. On a side a typically japanese taste with big Nintendo scores, and another side a typically american taste with sport and action/shooting games. France and maybe Europe fulfills well the role of middle of two very different parts.

I'm just surprised of the low score of 360 with only one game, itself more sold on PS3.

SONY is claiming that PS3 has overtaken x360 in terms LTD sales in France. However GFK's official figures showed that ps3 was just 20k shy off x360's LTD HW sales in 2007. so i think in 4 weeks of 2008 ps3 might have overtaken x360 in total HW sales

ps3 --568,000 (LTD till 2007)
x360--589,000 (LTD till 2007)

so ps3 has ofcourse overtaken x360 by now in France

You also have to take into account the traded in 360's, alot of 360s would have been traded in for the PS3 when it was launched, this would explain why ps3s software attach rate is high considering its still sold less than the 360 in overal hardware sales.

Either that or PS3 has performed alot better than we suspect. Still the software attach rate on PS3 in europe must be very high

Actually Burnout Paradise released in France 24th january, those charts are from 7th january to 13th, so this is not really abnormal :)

i feel so bad for renting the game, i would really love to add it to my collection (which i will when home comes out)

ND made a masterpiece, roll on uncharted 2

and i also heard that heavenly sword 2 is in the works- seems the only big first year PS3 exclusive without a sequel in the works is lair- which is a shame cause i feel that factor 5 can learn from their mistakes and make lair 2 a masterpiece, although im sure sony wont let lair die just like that, its an intriguing IP that needs to be worked on

Why do they always pair these articles up with a picture of the three consoles? They should include the DS (and maybe the PSP) considering its sales are trouncing everything else.

And all Wii games are Nintendo made + the controller bundle Wii Play.

This does NOT bode well for 3rd party support Nintendo fans are expecting. This is unprecedented, and it seems like if you want real games, Wii is NOT the way to go.

I love sony just as much as the next sony fan.. but it looks like each and every ONE of you looked past the fact that the Wii and DS is on top of the chart... multiple times at that.. so saying this is sonys year is kinda laughable.. we are on month 2 of 2008 and the Wii hasnt budged.. all excuses, maybes and what ifs aside.. the numbers speak 4 themself.. i am a proud PS3 owner so no flame shield needed.. just start being more realistic here please???

i beat uncharted in 8 hours on hard.. best graphics i have seen yet on console.. nice gameplay 2.. but WAY to short for my taste.. i wish sony would make longer games

But you owe to yourself to play uncharted.,.. One of the best games i have played in a long time.... The story is one of the best and the whole game is just awesome from start to finish
