Sleeping Dogs has made its debut at the top of the all-format weekly chart.

The open-world action game charts ahead of New Super Mario Bros. 2 in second, knocking London 2012: The Game down to third.

Loving this game right now.

Way to give Activision the middle finger. Maybe next time Bobby And Co. will stop and think before needlessly pulling the plug on the development of a game for no good reason. Jerks.

This game was originally a "True Crimes" game, and the name was only changed because of licensing issues (Activision owns True Crimes, but dropped this game. Square Enix decided to pick up the developers).

So I wouldn't really count this as a new IP, but still worth supporting

EPIC FAIL!
This was a new IP called Black Lotus but Activision slapped the True Crime name on it for brand recognition.
Activision really dropped the ball on this one. Great for Square Enix and a big middle finger to Activision.

Ah, I was unaware of that. I only knew about True Crimes: Hong Kong. They also in a recent interview only talked about the reasoning for the new change in name from True Crimes, so I didn't know about that.

Great news! A shame Darksiders 2 isn't even listed though.

Played DS 2 and its more of the same from part one which is not bad but really disappointed that the developers gave us a DS 1.5 instead of DS2.

Soylent_Green4284d ago

Darksiders hasn't been released in Europe yet, won't be out until tomorrow or Friday I think. I was planning on getting it last week but when it wasn't in the shop picked up sleeping dogs instead. Loving the lack of guns so far.
