In the spirit of providing info-hungry Devil May Cry fans with all the Dantelicious manna you could drink, 1UP tracked down three of the key creative members of the Devil May Cry 4 development team -- namely producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, director Hideaki Itsuno, and character designer Tatsuya Yoshikawa -- and tackled them in the hallway with a binder full of questions.
The result? Information a-go-go and a behind-the-scenes peek at the thought processes that went into DMC4's development. Ever wonder whether the new Devil May Cry 4 engine could or would be put to good use in a new Strider game? Or whether Capcom might ever develop a Lady May Cry video game? Read on to learn everything that's left to know about Devil May Cry 4.
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
Two Devil May Cry games have been delisted on Steam. As shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Wario64, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition and Devil May Cry 4 are no longer available to purchase.
Bless the adorably all digital future! When it comes to PC games its not as big of an issue because there should always be another way to access single player games, but still, I hate to see anything get delisted.
Well, DMC4 special edition has a lot of issues to run from Steam.
I have to get a modded executable to even be able to run the game on Windows 10.
Not sure if it is because the game runs in DirectX10 or what, but it sucks they have not even tried to fix it.
Devil May Cry 4 launched 15 years ago today, bringing with it new character Nero. Has it stood the test of time?
Never liked it and I think I got it day 1.
Cheap Capcom design of half a game that you have to walk through twice.
5 isn't much different in that department. Encounter the same boss three times with three different characters? Endless warehouses or alien-like tunnels that all look the same.
Is all over the place with the seemingly obsession with the differences with this title.
Which is it?, the other day they said it was the same but the 360 version had screen tearing which were the only differences now its PS3 version is clearer despite them saying it was the same the other day besides the tearing.
Then they said the PS3 was better due to the DualShack then they said they both feel right and it just depends what you're used to.
Is the disc game different from the Demo?, not seeing what they're seeing.
If it wasn't for the Japanese gamer comparing the two disc versions of the game with the same results we've been seeing on this site you'd think the discs 1up has vs the discs the Japanese person has and the demo's we have would be different quality all together.
They have flip flopped on this game 3 times editing their opinions many times sence the first comments.
Could you imagine if there really was a co-op version of Devil May Cry with Nero and Dante? It would probably be one of the best 2-player games ever imagined.
I can't wait until next week. Better go get some more practice on the demo....
Indeed.
I will order a pizza when I recieve my copy of DMC4. To help set the mood.
