Is Hideo Kojima hinting at a Silent Hill game?

It just looks like another ordinary day at the office for famed Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima when he usually tweets about what he eats, updates he’s and hints on his FOX Engine, and some otaku spazzing here and there. But today he mentions something rather odd on his twitter, something he hasn’t talked about often, and that is Silent Hill.

I'm growing tired of all these hints and rumours, I love Kojima but the man has been clearly trolling us for the past few years now, teasing us about a new ip, new ZOE, new MGS and now a new Silent Hill? for the love of God just give us the name atleast.

Kojima making a Silent Hill. It would be impressive. At least a colaboration like in Castlevania should be amazing.

Personally, I think they should kill or sell of the rights of Silent Hill back to Toriyama at Japan Studio who created the concept in the first place.

Hope it's a reboot though....back to basics.

WE? and How was downpour a mess? it's the only recent SH to go back to the great atmosphere, puzzles and characters...Not to mention the gameplay was actually solid and felt balanced to that of the classic SH limited feel. Have you even played the game or just watched footages?

The series needs to go back to Japan.
It's lost it's identity.
Maybe the developers that created Siren would be a good choice.
Still It would be awesome for Kojima to have a go at the series.

I can remember being in the hospital level thinking what Team Silent would of done with this gens tech.

Thing is some Japanese developers that worked on Silent Hill worked on the Siren series and you can see the similarities.

It's such a shame to see what could have been and instead we get Downpour and Homecoming.Which look like PS2 games and remove anything scary or disturbing in place of cheesy jump scares and awful enemy design.

Well the Siren creator is the one who create the original Silent Hill, that is why it fells kind of like Silent Hill and the guy now works for Sony... the wird thing is why the F&%$ Sony has not give that guy a AAA budget. To make a new Siren or better a new horror survival game IP

I highly doubt he's working on a Silent Hill game. But whoever's making the next SH is probably using the Fox engine.

What SH needs is a genius director/team behind it & it must return ASAP to Japanese hands, that's the main prob of the franchise currently, ofc a good engine will be a plus but that's secondary imo because the most important think is to have capable ppl with rich imagination & a vision for greatness exactly how "Team Silent" was back then.

I would love to see a Silent Hill game produced by Kojima Productions and directed by Takashii Mike. After watching Audition and Ichi The Killer, I think he would at least make a good adviser......

As much as I love MGS, I wish they'd let him do something else. He's been trying to get away from the series since 2.

I can only count 3 good horror games
Dead space 1 and 2 and Siren Blood Curse.
why dont they just give the IP back to the creators?
