Darksiders II receives more high scores and lots of praise with three additional print reviews.

Darksiders 2 is getting a lot of high scores, this is good news

Hell yeah. I wish it would get an average of 90, but I think it will be at around the 85 mark all up. For me, an instant 10 most likely.

Awaiting the limited edition with the mask on thursday (australia.....).

I love multiplats games, its something that people can all enjoy and put their fanboy aside. And Darksiders was great, they developed it on ps3 so it was even across the board.

Can't wait to see Samael, we will finally see the consequences of what war did in the first game for him.

The sad thing is the logic used for the scores is broken example 15 positives and 2 negatives is equals 93%...how do get that score?

Whats worse is none of these reviewers have a solid logic on how the come up with a score its like they pull it out of the air.

I hope later on it becomes a 4 player co-op game with lots and lots of enemies on screen. Probably not this gen but next gen.

Love the new loot system. It basically adds lots of gameplay time.

The original Dark Siders was aweful, thats just my opinion though. I hope this one is better, it does look a bit better.

Im "kinda" with you, hear me out first, i rented it AGES ago, i played it for a couple of hours and REALLY couldnt get into it, just seemed like a poor mans hack/slash, so i sent it back

Time went buy and it was released on the PS+, i didnt have anything to play so i thought what the hell, it wasnt that bad of a game if i remember

I felt so stupid! because if i had of just played it that little bit more the first time i would of been hooked, like i was the second time, riding me horse through the dessert whilst being chased by giant sandworms was AWESOME

The game really opens the more you progress, you get some cool weapons etc, it kinda becomes an open world sorta game

Anyway, i earned the platinum trophy awhile ago, i enjoyed it that much i thought i might aswel 100% it

I played it for 1 hour yesterday. Even though the game sucks you in with nice design, art, atmosphere and gameplay, I put it on hold. The framerate and the low res texture make me wait for a PC version.

@donbhai007, More than likely they are downloading it from torrent sites. According to the torrents it came out 2 days ago for Xbox 360 only. Maybe thats why some are waiting for the pirated PC version...

True. While I do not ALWAYS buy I game off of reviews, (I loved killzone 1, despite the average reviews) I want Darksiders 2 to sell well, and most people these days go off of reviews, which is understandable with the plethora of titles coming out.

The more sales, good for THQ and the continuation of this epic franchise. Plus, they did an all round good job with the ps3, xbox 360 an pc version, which
a lot of developers can't do without screwing one up.

I'm still debating whether I should drill holes into the mask so I can wear it :( Might buy another off ebay depending on if I'm in the mood for haloween this year lol.

Shouldn't be a surprise. The first one was great and all the previews of 2 have shown it will surpass the first in every conceivable way.

Definitely won't be a GotY though.

Why not a GOTY contender what are the other big games at its level AC3, RE6 or another Halo...the only one out of those 3 that are really pushing their respective series is RE6.

Right now DS2 is the biggest improvement in its series.

Please keep in mind Ill be getting Sleeping Dogs, Transformers, RE6, AC3, Dishonored as well all day one and DS2 stands above them all with quality and quantity. Facts agree with me as well not opinions.

I'm not a big fan of AC2 but I think 3 is raising the bar by a considerable margin. As far as multiplat games go this one I'm most excited for which I'm in disbelief of since I think 2 is possibly the most overrated game this generation.

Dishonored will be more of a surprise hit and could be a surprise GotY candidate if it's executed well; something I still have some doubts about but I'm getting it day one nevertheless.

There's also Hitman and Far Cry to take into consideration; not games that I'm all too excited for but could turn out to be stellar. And COD, naturally will have its share of supporters.

I'm expecting Guild Wars 2 to be my personal GotY, of course we all know the media won't pick an MMO for GotY but regardless I think it's set to be the most impressive game (and sequel) to be released in 2012.

So that about wraps up games yet to release that could be in the GotY conversation. As for games already released, Xenoblade should be a shoe-in. One the best JRPGs ever released and by far the best this gen. Technically released last year but NA didn't get it until this year so I'll be absolutely stunned if it doesn't nab a few GotYs.

Final thought, although it's "only" a PSN game, Journey left a far bigger impression on me than just about any game I've played so far this year (I played Xenoblade last year). I don't doubt it could top some lists.

fast paced action ? DMC hands down
graphics ? GOW hands down.

its not a bad game but other games of the genre own this easily and i just mentioned 2 of them wich are the best pure hack n slash games.

Don't know why you keep using the term "pure hack and slash". Darksiders draws inspiration from a ton of disparate genres and past games. The exploration alone moves the game out of "pure hack and slash" territory, nevermind the puzzles, the RPG-esque loot, the dungeons etc. etc.

It's fine if you're not looking forward to it, but it sounds like you really don't even know what it is...

I liked Darksiders I and I was gonna get II, but something came up and the money I was gonna use to get the sequel was needed elsewhere. I'll get it eventually, just hope THQ stays a float, because they are one of the few publishers pushing out stuff that isn't just a military shooter, or rife with current gen conventions.

First Darksiders was a great game, BUT it has a problem.. game was boring. Same as Far Cry 2, Gameplay,graphics are awesome, but game was boring. But dont get me wrong, i like these games, still playing FC2.
