This is totally a sleeper hit for 2012 - even for the inferior console versions. I've been playing this on PS3 nonstop since it launched on Tuesday. Such a blast.
I hate this game, it's terrible; Risen 1 is better.
I was a big fan of the original Risen, even having played the borked 360 port.
When they announced this game, and said that they were putting in the work needed for the console ports this time around, I was excited.
Then it released for pc, and long time fans of both Gothic and Risen were less than impressed with the game. Seems there was a fair bit of streamlining when compared to the original. Something I hate to see in sequels.
Now, it's for consoles, and all I keep hearing about is graphical hickups and performance issues.
I still want to play the game, but considering the changes to the original's formula, along with the technical issues I am hearing about, I am either going to wait for a price drop, or just get it on pc later this year.
