Backlog Quest is a month long special event on Clearance Bin Review featuring daily game reviews of the games that have sat on the shelf for simply too long; old and new.
From Day 31 – Homefront, Tristan Rendo writes, "Homefront is one of those games that is an awesome idea with mixed execution. In a near future where North Korea has had a series of “lucky breaks” and the US has had a series of misfortunes resulting in a new super power and an occupied America. You play as a former military helicopter pilot essentially forced into the resistance movement and plunged head first into the war to regain American independence."
Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"
Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.
Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.
get it! the single player is excellent and intense and the MP is pretty fun, too.
Ehh, PS4 needs these deals too, or consoles in general we always get discounts rarely free stuff that's REALLY free (games with gold / psplus isn't free)
i would say a 6/10 is about right, it missed some major opportunities, but it is not a bad game at all, i hope homefront 2 is better and more worthwhile.
Frontlines was a better game allround shame it had bullet lag ,im thinking of getting it on pc now only have the 360 version.
