Yes most people will just buy both it's not 1992 anymore.
Retro fans will buy both, families will probably end up with both eventually fans of specifically those two out of nostalgia have careers and enough income to buy both

Hardly competing. It's releasing on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series and Xbox One, Wonder isn't.

Sonic Frontiers has won over Japan after years of poor sales.
For someone like me that started playing games at late 90s it was heartbreaking to see what happened to SEGA. Good to hear this because how things were going in the last years for them. I remember the time when they closed a lot of arcades in Japan. Or even when Microsoft almost bought them several years ago.
I have a feeling the sales will drop a ton the next week since everyone figured out it's barebones and a technical mess. Hype and name brand can only get you so far.
I wanted to like this game but they did everything possible to disappoint. Maybe they can use this as a stepping stone for a future title, but so far this isn't it.
