London 2012 – The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games will allow gamers to create their own moments of sporting history and fame by experiencing the thrill and adrenaline rush of the events and disciplines that will be a part of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
With London 2012 now completely finished, Dave Sadd takes a brief look at the parallels between gaming and The Games for Pixels or Death and asks...why not Olympic gaming?
4 years ago since Beijin 2008, SEGA released this year’s London 2012 Olympics video game, hoping to capture the intensity of each event and atmosphere of the Olympics. The London 2012 Olympics is an historic moment for Great Britain, so will the Olympics video game do the same for the gaming industry?
An Olympics game that isn't mediocre!
Ah, the Olympics. The finest international sporting event that comes around every year and fills two weeks of our summer with excitement and anticipation as we cheer our nation on. Unfortunately an Olympics game also comes around every four years to try and share the triumph leading to utter disappointment and a game that can be described as mediocre at best.
Watching the Olympics really makes me want to play this... but I'm not spending $50 to do it. I'll wait for it to hit the < $20 pile.
