If you're a Nintendo fan, you've no doubt dealt with a ration of crap from friends/internet denizens. Saying you like Nintendo is like a giant red flag for some people out there. They'll lash into you with no actual reasons, other than they're very angry and misguided people. That's the way the internet works in general, but doubly so for Nintendo fans.
Game developers have already started to confirm that they will support the Nintendo Switch 2 with their future titles.
Hanzala from eXputer: "As Nintendo takes out 20 years' worth of stuff from Garry's Mod, I watch in shock, thinking why it continues to hurt and discourage its fans."
The irony that some of the most disgusting business practices come from companies like Disney or Nintendo, i can't even begin to understand what terrible damage was Garrys Mod making to Nintendo bottom line, imho they're getting pretty nervous about where they're heading in the future, handhelds are no longer something exclusive to Nintendo, from Steam Deck to many others, now you can play the latest games and pay a fraction of the price on Steam sales, so it's up to their exclusives, which just on their own would make hard to justify purchasing a closed overpriced hardware with outrageous price policies (Super Mario Odyssey is still 60 euro 6 years later!), and as a home console they're always underperforming compared to Sony or Xbox.
Look at how they handled Nintendo games being streamed or uploaded on YouTube in the past. They killed Yuzu and Citra even when they had nothing to do with ToTK being leaked, not to mention it was basically unplayable on emulation the week it was leaked. Smash Bros tournament, that was fairly recent. They shut down their online services without any care for purchases made. I bought a switch after skipping their last 2 consoles and handhelds but I don't plan on buying anything Nintendo in the future. They take things to the extremes, they legitimately hate their fans. They're honestly right up there with the likes of Acti, EA, and Ubi, only difference is that they disguise themselves as being family friendly all the while being shady.
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
By ignoring it, having fun, and realizing that haters are going to hate.
Hateful fanboys are joyless. And the ones that spend all their time trolling or talking about sale figures will eventually drop out of the hobby. So their opinions are meaningless.
Why would you? Unless you're Nintendo PR (or anyone working for them) you don't have to deal with negative reception.
If you're a consumer tired of others disliking what you like, either stop going to forums, completely ignore what those others have to say or just keep on arguing with themover the net (VERY effective method btw).
Enjoy your games and be mad-free.
How do you combat Nintendo negativity?!.
Simple - don't take any and all kinds of criticism as negativity.
This is just a case of haters hating haters.
Yeah quick question? Why is it that people harp on about negativity against Nintendo? All the consoles got negativity. Sony got hit from all sides for the PS3 and people are stomping all over the VITA as we speak. And yet I keep seeing articles about fighting negativity against Nintendo.
So what is Nintendo suddenly above negativity? Do we just have to sit back and say everything will succeed and nod our head and pretend nothing is or could go wrong. Before you hit me with disagrees like I know many of you will, just know that all the consoles get hit with negativity. The PS1 was said that it was going to fail in the face of Nintendo and Sega. But every time anyone posts anything that is contradicts it or against the Wii U suddenly people form a barrier around it and want to cut your throat. Many of them same people that groaned 'Give the 3DS a chance' while predicting the VITA's failure at the same time.
So no offense but get over yourselves. All the consoles get hate and we deal with it.Every opposing fanboy in the world said everyone who owned a PS3 was wasting their time and stupid to invest in a console that was sinking ship and we still brought it and enjoyed it. I personally think the the controller is too wide and big and bulky on Wii U but that is my opinion and you can't mob me because I have doubt.I don't hate Nintendo and was one of the biggest Nintendo fanboys back then. Heck I still brought every console up to the 3DS. But when i was one I didn't just sit back and kiss Nintendo's foot all the time like many modern Nintendo fans do.I am sure there were more then one Nintendo fanboy jumping on PASBR and LBP Karting articles calling them clones and fakes and copies and phonies. So don't just play the victim as if everyone is just picking on you and that many Nintendo fans don't just believe everything that Nintendo says and don't take shots at the other systems.
Look how ready they were to believe that the next PlayStation and Xbox won't be more powerful never thinking for a second that it's just Nintendo trying to put down the competition before people decide to play the waiting game and not buy a Wii U until they see what else is in store for them from the other consoles. Nintendo is a business too and people don't seem to realize that like the others they will say anything if it helps them sell more consoles.
Nice read.
This gen, being a Nintendo fan has become synonymous with defending Nintendo. I have no problem fighting the good fight, but I don't go looking for trouble. I try to pick my battles wisely.
On this site I don't approve any overly negative/bias articles, and I try to keep my comments limited to the Nintendo channels.
