Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale game modes, items and minions leaked

In addition to characters and stages, several lists of game modes, items and minions have been leaked for the upcoming fighting game, Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale.

What are minions? They are other characters in the game but what is their purpose? That being said you guys are spoil sports. All of this could have been a surprise and you guys are telling it to everyone. I don't blame Sony or Superbot, I blame the people peaking at Christmas presents and telling us what they contain.

@ -Alpha. I suppose but you do realize that some of them are actual characters helping you out. Kuma,Murray and Worker are actually are all attacks from characters. So the question is who are helpers and who are background characters.

@ kingofe3. What do you want them to say? 'Yes someone managed to hack our beta and revealed everything we have? Best to not say anything that could used against you later. Better to let everyone speculate until it's time to confirm.

@ VanillaBear. I am guessing the Nix and Zeke are background characters as Cole hasn't shown any attacks that include anyone helping him. I am guessing they are in the background doing something. And could you stop the griping. Sony and Superbot can't dictate what they want from other people's games. They can't force them to give them what they want. They have to take it on their terms. You can say you want this and that all you like, it is up to the developer that they are dealing with in the end to tell them who and what they are willing to use.

It's like Quark in the Metropolis stage, or Kira in Sandover Village--background characters for the stages.

These leaks were bound to explode.

SBot put a lot of hard work into this: the modes, and customization options are really rich in content-- VIP mode, to 2v2 VIP, to 2v2 Elimination, King of the Hill, and CTF, Trial mode, character challenge mode. There also seems to be a SSB like mode called "Sumo Ring". I bet when you adjust the gravity (which is an option) you can make it real fun.

Yeah, it's a shame they couldn't reveal this on their own terms, but we still haven't seen the gameplay of these characters/modes in action.

Well if Evil Cole is indeed true, expect this cole to change in the final build to good Cole

I really really really hope this is an old build (2011) and that this is before Superbot said that they have seena lot of feedback that forced them to rethink what characters should be in the game.

In truth, we don't need two Coles in this game, give him an Alt costume that's all what's really needed, despite the fact that Evil/Good cole have completely different moves.

From the leaks though, I did expect better. Glad to see Heavenly Sword in there, but the rest meh and I think a mass majority can agree with that. I am 100% sure though that this is not the full Rosterand characters like Ratchet and Clank will be in along with a few others.

BTW this leak may be good in a way, if Superbot sees the out lash of some characters they will hopefully and Sony, will get more wanted characters. Like honestly, who wants the New Dante in this game? I can deal with Raiden TBH, that's cool hopefully a alt Greyfox costume, but I would prefer Old Snake/ Big Boss over him.

Exactly a character slot wasted on another version of Cole is a silly idea. A differn't skin would be better.

I hope aswell that it's an old build, like Vanillabear has stated below I don't want that Dante to be in this game, especialy with all the uproar about the new dmc game.

You don't really believe that do you? Superbot has no influence over what other developers want to give them. You can lash out all you want but it won't change anything. Lash out at the developers not Superbot. They don't own these characters. Also the character roster being meh as you put it is a matter of opinion. I personally am stoked to see Sir Dan and Spike and Nariko

Agreed, the other Cole would be a waste of a spot IMO but yea he should be alternate attire and not really another character.

I also seriously hope that they included the classic Dante skin if they could cause i just like the old style Dante better.

I don't understand why people are so upset about the first image of Dante being shown in this game (who I think we all knew was going to be in the game), is of the likely default new Dante from the upcoming DMC game. That being the upcoming DMC, and coming out around the same time frame as All Stars, it's pretty obvious that Capcom would dictate the default costume for Dante would be from the newest game. That's a given. It's the only way it could be. That's how it's always been with cross-overs of all kinds, not just game x-overs.

So how any gamer not just whining for the sake of whining could be shocked or upset about this is beyond me, ESPECIALLY when we as gamers interested in this game have already been informed that every character in the game has at least 3 costumes (2 unlockable in game and 1 each from the pre-order). Dante's only had one Emo costume that I'm aware of, eh?

There will be 3 other versions of Dante in the game, regardless of which one is your favorite and which is the default. So relax, and if you are a Devil May Cry fan that's interested in this game, be happy that Dante is (basically) confirmed. Between the 3 alternates, or 2 if you don't pre-order, the classic version of Dante is certainly going to be in the game, and chances are it will be one of the unlockable costumes, not "pre-order Dante".

Why have characters from that crappy game in this. I want to see good old Dante and as a minion I wanted to see Trish or Lady. So yeah I hope to god this info is flase.

I don't see the point in having two minions from inFAMOUS 2. I'd rather see characters as minions from the PS1 days. I mean Nix and Zeke...Zeke would of been enough.

Sam (Metal Gear Rising), another character I don't get. Why add a character from a game which isn't out yet. Wouldn't you add a character from Metal Gear Solid who is more known, hell Otacon would of been a better choice.

Agreed - People have to realize that having 3rd party characters on this game is like free advertisement.

Which makes me wonder if Sony has to pay the 3rd party developers for the use of characters or do they get them for free.

I a little disappointed that Sony has so many 3rd party characters in this game because Sony has more than enough 1st party characters to fill 3 rosters.

I like old style Dante too and it's not that i hate the new style, i just hate how they basically changed him completely and that this doesn't even really look like a true Devil May Cry cause Devil May Cry series seems way more faster while this one is kinda slowed down.

Also no FF characters? nothing that hints them at least. you would think some of the minions or even stages would be leaked showing that there is a chance of a FF character be playable.

remember this is a leak off of the beta so maybe some FF characters can also be unlockables. Also the stages are mash ups so we may see a mash up with a FF setting in it.

If we did get a FF character I think they would only let them use Lightning even though she's the last person we would want in this game.

No FF characters, no Spyro, no Crash Bandicoot, no Croc, no Tomb Raider, Gex, Tombi...basicaly hardly no PS1 characters.

Honestly this leak has made me worried about the game, the characters were the most important thing about the game and yet I feel like were going to get ones we didn't really ask for.

But I'd say lightning is the best bet due to the lack of female characters and the micheal trailer

Bleh, I would be so disappointed if Lightning was the rep, but unfortunately that's where all the signs point to. If SE will even give SuperBot a rep at all.

Its possible that Evil Cole is simply an alternate skin for Cole with a different moveset. Warranting his own tutorial. A unique character in his own way, but not filling up a character slot per say. Evil Cole does have his own set of powers and abilities so it makes sense, but i dont think superbot would do something as pointless as making him another character, thats even worse than Doctor Mario.

There has been no recent love of Ape Escape on PS3 (Thou shall not speak about the MOVE game) so I think it's awesome that they are putting or could put Spike in the game.

Also, maybe this could lead to a new Ape Escape reveal, aka one of the two unnannounced titles @ Gamescom?

im not reading anything about this game anymore unless its a spoiler free review.. I want it to be a fresh experience & be surprised when i unlock things or see whatever "MINIONS" are supposed to be in here.. Anyway, the game is actually looking more & more interesting to me.. I hope its fun & balanced
