I think they should stick to open world, third person games. I love Darkiders and I can't wait for the second.

Phil324308d ago

Such a waste for such a talented developer. Don't we have enough first-person shooters?

Lord_Sloth4308d ago

Yes we do, but I guess they're too lazy to think anymore.

HiddenMission4308d ago

So you must not know anything about Vigil since you made such an ignorant comment.

1st. Look at ND they have two teams working on two projects, each title had super high quality.

2nd. One of the 4 horseman uses a gun...Fury says high.

3rd. Since Fury uses a gun and the team is all about adding to the Darksiders experience it makes sense that the next title could be Fury's story which would mean the added element of FPS gameplay.

With the above points it simply means that the Vigil team is growing and adding to their development pool. For you to call them lazy for adding to their crew is like me calling you lazy for not taking the time to think before you post.

Not trying to bash on you just trying to point out that it's not polite to insult when you don't know anything about which you speak.

Lord_Sloth4308d ago

Yeah....I'm not reading all of that. I skimmed it though.

FPS games are lazy. I don't care if they're growing. Yes, that thought occurred to me, it doesn't mean the genre takes more effort.

Unless they change something about it, it's lazy.

Whitefeather4308d ago

I look forward to seeing what they can do in the FPS genre.

MadLad4308d ago (Edited 4308d ago )

First-person shooters aren't inherently "lazy" or simplistic games.

You can do a lot with the genre, and many have offered refreshing, thoughtful experiences through it.

Vigil could very well be one of those developers. Let's not hate on the idea of them making a shooter until we actually see what they have planned.

DyingVendetta4308d ago

Agree! I mean look at what gearbox did with borderlands. FPS can be creative and fun. It just takes the right developers and minds.

Kin23g4308d ago

What about the 3rd horseman?

Kran4308d ago

there are 2 more horsemen, not just 1 more.

They've just developed the first 2 darksiders games. No harm in taking a break from the franchise.

You can't have War without Death - Darksiders vs. Darksiders II

"Vigil Games may not be around anymore but their 2 Darksiders games really raised the bar for 3D action adventure games. Let's take a look at both titles' gameplay and worlds and see which one emerges victorious." - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums

Vote for either Darksiders or Darksiders II at the bottom of the article! 🎮😄

Darksiders 1 is the better game but I like part 2 as well.

Daver1666d ago

Darksiders was a lot better than darksiders 2. Even darksiders 3 was better than 2

AK911666d ago

Darksiders 1 is a complete game but it’s obvious with Darksiders 2 they ran out of budget after the Ice world and the game just becomes a poorly paced mess.
