It's possibly the deepest RPG game there is. There's just so much choice in terms of party members, moves, strategies, stats. It's ridiculous. That's why people keep coming back. They change very little with each game, but the choices make people unable to get enough of those little pocket monsters.
I have not played a pokemon game since leaf green and that was because it was a remake but I get why people still play this franchise. I will only play pokemon again if Nintendo makes an online MMO type Pokemon game or a real Pokemon game but on their console not some spinoff. Pokemon will always be my favorite Nintendo franchise though besides Smash Bros.
Gotta catch 'em all....
