ETHER VAPOR: Remaster Review | Capsule Computers

"Arcade 2D shooters used to be a thing of the past, or a thing that would only be released not as a full title. This, I believe is something that is wrong with the industry and Ether Vapor: Remaster is the reason that I believe this to be true. The game itself is a fast paced action 2.5D rail shooter that is very similar to games like R-Type, Sol-Deace and many others." - Capsule Computers

I find this list's lack of Espgaluda love disturbing. :D

The lack of shmups nowadays is disheartening.

The PS4 did had a shmup as a launch game. Like everything else there are tons upon tons of shmups on PC. Check out Steam store type shmup and be amazed. Check out those browser gaming sites like kongregate it has Shmups. Is that consoles nowadays are all about cinematic action/adventure games

Cherry Tree High gets a sequel, out today on Steam

Parallax Play:"Nyu Media, publisher of Japanese doujin games, has announced that the Cherry Tree High I! My! Girls! is launching on steam today, as a follow-up to their 2012 release, Cherry Tree High Comedy Club.

While the original was more of an adventure / social sim game, I! My! Girls! takes a more linear approach and tells the continuing story of the Comedy Club as a single story Visual Novel, providing around 3 hours of gameplay over 12 chapters. The sequel also uses the original Japanese names of the characters, instead of those used in the 'westernised' localisation of the original."
