“Ground Branch is a first-person, realism-oriented online experience that places players in the roles of elite CIA Paramilitary Operators of the Special Activities Division.” Forget the arcade-like, movie-style gameplay that saturates today’s FPS scene. Ground Branch sets out to offer unforgiving, realistic and authentic gameplay that will keep players on their toes and promote tactical thinking. “Cut from the same cloth as the original Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six… players will learn to respect the lethality and versatility of firearms as death can come quick and health does not regenerate.”
From GameWatcher: "Ubisoft is working on a multiplayer PvP game named BattleCat that brings together The Division, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon characters, according to a recent leak.
BattleCat is very likely an internal codename used for the project that includes members of Splinter Cell's Echelon, Ghost Recon's Wolves, alongside The Division's Cleaners and Outcasts as playable characters."
Why does Ubi shake Splinter Cell in fans' faces only to put it in sh*t we never wanted?
Our friends from MicroProse have announced the addition of another game to their lineup. Ground Branch is a first-person shooter with tense military action, extensive character and equipment customization, and strategy.
I remember seeing a kickstarter pitch for this back in 2014ish. Surprised it's even still alive
Title Update 2.0 also includes community requested features.
If this plays like the GR of old I'll be all over this.
Reminds me of operation flahpoint. Realism can work as long as everything else is there. It needs to be beautiful with great settings. A good story is nice and customization is a must, which should be no problem if its realistic. This could have a huge following.
They've got a long way to go on their Kickstarter page. I hope they make it!
Yes, exactly...Support the game!
Real tactical gameplay. Sounds great. I am hoping its not overlooked by the community because its not CoD.
