Skyrim Dawnguard DLC is longer than Dishonored

GameZone writes, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's upcoming expansion, Dawnguard, is going to be longer than Dishonored, a full-length AAA title set to release later this year. You can bet it won't be nearly as expensive either. It's time for a tiered pricing model for video games."

What a weird, arbitrary comparison.

noxeven4354d ago

If this is true then it just lowers my will to pick up dishonored

Whoa longer than Dishonored? Must be a good DLC or Dishonored must be a short game.

Off Topic: Interesting, sorry to say but after watching gameplay on Dishonored on GTTV, and they said its leveled based and no real sense of exploration made me really turn away from this game. Also the way the game looks isn't too impressive, and they mentioned you'll lose your powers on certain lvls? I played games like that and they're frustrating. October is bad release for a new Ip like this I'll be busy with other promising titles.

On topic: Wow, sounds like Dishonored could be a short game at that. Or Bethesda just made a whole new "Skyrim" within skyrim? Either way I can't wait for this expansion. I'm afraid I can't say the same about Dishonored, but I'm passing on that IP.

quantity does not mean it will be quality nuff said.

EDIT: I do love skyrim though

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast41d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22941d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko41d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
