We’ve all been there. You move into a nice area with a great view and some jumped up Babylonian builds a ruddy big tower…well maybe not. Babel Rising is the latest Kinect centric game released on XBLA. The game aims to give players the “hands of god” to smite tiny Babylonians who persist in building a large tower. The motion controls are designed to give players a unique sense of power, but does flapping your arms around in your front room yelling “ultimate power” really provide a god-like experience?
Nintendo Life: God games are usually about protecting people, not condemning them. Babel Rising, however, tears a page or two out of the Book of Genesis and sees you, as the heavenly overseer himself, casting down any subjects that dare to defy. Hundreds of heretics are constructing a gigantic tower to reach the skies, but by smiting them and their building with a selection of destructive powers, you'll soon remind them that no men are mightier than the Lord.
Gamesta.com reports on this week's European eShop downloads for Nintendo. Whether you own a Nintendo Wii U, Wii, DS or 3DS, there will be a game available for you. There are also some demos available on Wii U. And lo; there are a ton of videos available for once!
Publisher Bulkypix and studio Mando Productions announced today that the sequel to the popular God's-eye-and-finger-view mobile game Babel Rising, Babel Rising: Cataclysm, is now available on the App Store for free.
