Nineoverten.com writes that Steel Crown Productions and Membraine Studios are issuing a “call to arms” to wargaming fans worldwide to help complete Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire for PC and Mac. Hosted on Indiegogo, the crowd funding campaign makes it easy for the gaming community to support the franchise’s first foray into computer games.
Australian Indie developer Membraine Studios has announced the release date for Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire, with a PC release for Steam on February 2.
Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire brings the tabletop universes of Exodus Wars to PC in the form of a strategic RPG, featuring 3D turn-based war that puts you in control of armoured companies, massive super-vehicles and brigade-level infantry. Players can also customise their armies, while experiencing the uniquely fast-paced Chess-style battle mechanics that offers a range of replayability.
IndieGoGo campaigns, much like Kickstarter campaigns, are never sure fire things, especially when it comes to crowded marketplaces like gaming. Indie Game HQ has what they consider the 5 best titles that failed on IndieGoGo despite being more than deserving of funding.
Digitally Downloaded writes: "Membraine Studios is an Australian indie outfit with a lot of ambition. It’s in the process of developing Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire – a tabletop wargame in the vein of Warhammer 40,000 for PC, and though the Indiegogo campaign to fund the game missed the mark, the team learned a lot from the experience and don’t for a moment think the project is dead and buried."
