PSGamer: Episode 7 of the PSGamecast is now available to stream into your earholes, and what a PSGamecast it is.
The voice-over legend that is Roger Craig Smith joins us on PSGamecast this week and safe to say we had an absolutely brilliant time in the two hours of his time he gave to us.
We discuss his i9ustrious career, discussing his roles as Sonic the Hedgehog, Ezio Auditore, Batman and many more, what got him into voice-work, his favourite characters and we poke him with a stick to get him to do voices for us, which he duly obliged. What a gent.
It’s hard to imagine Assassin’s Creed as a franchise that isn’t dominating the market. Its yearly releases all hold numerous updates to the formula while also providing us with a new, enticing story-line and an immensely large world to get lost in. To this day, AC has sold over 73 million copies, rarely staggering in the quality standard. But there was a time, long since forgotten, when Assassin’s Creed meant an interesting yet somewhat repetitive game that had a very convoluted and unexplained narrative. Seven years ago, Ubisoft launched the first game, set in Saudi Arabia, it offered a hypnotizing story line filled with very polarizing messages. People didn’t know what to make of it, but it certainly wasn’t a bad game, even with some bad design choices. However, it was soon clear that if the franchise wanted to flourish into a corporate giant, it had to change.
The only problem with this is that Ezio fans would probably own most, if not all, the games already. Albeit the addition of DLC and some extras is nifty, but it's not enough for me for double up.
This might be a good deal for me since i dont own any AC game.
