Since the New Year is supposed to be about hopeful expectation, IGN have picked through the next twelve months to uncover the best and brightest gems in the PC gaming catalog. Sure, some of their picks are long shots to actually make it out by year's end but they are trying to be positive. There's a good range of games listed, enough to satisfy almost every taste -- unless of course, you're interested in racing games... or sports games... or simulations. But on the other hand, if you're like most PC gamers and can't get enough of MMOs, FPSes and RTSes, then, brother, you've come to the right place.
The list of IGN's predictions (details are available on the fourth page of the article):
- Foreign Developers Dominate US PC Market.
- PC Games Disappear from Shelves.
- Spore Actually Releases This Year.
- Games for Windows – Live Goes Free or Goes Away.
- Fallout 3 Pushed to Early 2009.
Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.
Alone in the Dark developer Pieces Interactive has been hit with layoffs a month after its release, as per the latest information.
That genuinely, genuinely sucks. The reboot has clear flaws, but it really felt like a solid first step for this team to receive *greater* investment.
That's standard. Teams are together for a Project, after its done some..and sometimes most devs are fired until the next Project is in the works and people are needed again. Only the core members stay in the time between the hot phase of the game development.
If you are looking for an awesome RPG, look no further. Steam is offering a significant discount on its Fallout Franchise Bundle.
"You can get all Fallout games in a bundle at a significant 20% discount on Steam. Individually, all these games add up to $244.91. With the discount, you can get them all for $195.91. That is $49 less than the original price. Quite a significant discount for such a popular franchise."
😊 😂 🤣 😐 - But why?
Just wait for a sale and get most if not all of it for a fraction of that price.
20% off...lol
The original games have been given out for free by Amazon for GOG and Epic, 76 is free now on Amazon if you have prime, Epic has also given out new Vegas for free and 4 has gone down to pretty cheap prices. 194 bucks is a total ripoff when you can get these games individually for less. Don't forget cd keys might sell em for a dollar less at times too. Come on man, us cheapskates won't touch anything near or above 100 lolz
Thats all I need :)
