From the Greek to Hindu, each week we’ll look at two characters from a major pantheon and provide a quick recap of their history and in what capacity their digital incarnation will represent on the field of Hi-Rez Studios’ upcoming MOBA.

Lore: Bastet is currently known as the Goddess of Cats. The feline goddess devolved from a lion goddess to this position and, subsequently, the protector of ointments from a once lofty position. Originally, Bastet was depicted as having a lion’s head and viewed as the protector of Lower Egypt. Her original position as protector of pharaohs saw her commonly referred to as the Eye of Ra. Bastet’s domain was diminished as Sekhmet, a goddess depicted as the more fearsome lion, came to be recognized as a war deity in both Upper and Lower Egypt."
